The "peoples" rating is created specially for
those who does not want to deal with a computer, but wants to know that all the
same occurs to a ratio of forces of contenders. The idea of a peoples rating has
arisen at me in connection with work on Radio SPORT in Moscow, where I make
sports - mathematical issue. On the air difficultly or nearly so it is
impossible to speak about matrix e-rating and to explain radio listeners of a
subtlety of the decision of system of the linear equations. It was necessary to
be limited simply to results of calculations, referring that "program"
"computer" takes all into account, all considers correctly. But people sometimes
want to receive not only result but also as it is received. They want to count,
thus managing that knowledge which at them are.
The essence of a peoples rating is extreme simple. On start of tournament each
team has 100 points. On each game the team puts the one tenth rating. But, that
radio listeners have not difficulties with the tenth shares the rate is defined
by simple rejection by last meaning figures. For example if the rating of a team
before a match is equal 194 points on game it puts 19 points and if the rating
of a team is equal 89 points on game it puts 8 points. The winner takes away the
rate defeated. At a drow teams exchange rates. Thus, if the leader plays in a
draw it loses points as gives the big rate, and in exchange receives the small
rate of the weak contender.
Following the same logic, as at creation of the "e-rating", it is possible to
come to a conclusion, that ranking it is possible to carry out not only on
victories, but also on defeats. Thus both that and other analysis of results are
absolutely equivalent.
Calculation of a rating on victories can be named a rating of force (In this
case extraction of the winner is defined by force loser)
Calculation of a rating on defeats can be named a rating of weakness (In this
case "extraction" losed is defined by weakness of the winner)
The final rating is defined by a difference of ratings of force and weakness
The p-rating can be counted not interrupting during the several championships.
The matter is that it (p-rating) as though forgets the last results. "Memory" of
a p-rating depends on size of the rate on game. For the accepted rate in 1/10 it
will make 10-15 rounds. Thus by the end of the championship we shall have exact
enough representation about a ratio of forces.
If to start with the beginning of the current championship in the first rounds
of a prediction of a peoples rating will be a little bit worse.
As to the factor of the field easy it(him) is possible to take into account
adding the owner its rate and taking away at the visitor its rate.
For example the team "Pioneers" accepts a team "Scouts". A rating of "Pioneers"
- 89 points of their rate on game - 8 points. A rating of "Scouts" - 147 points
and their rate on game of 14 points.
In view of the factor of the field chances of "Pioneers" 89 + 8 = 97, Chances of
scouts - 147 - 14 = 134. As we see chances were leveled a little.
If on the contrary, "Scouts" accepted "Pioneers" that chances were essentially
in their advantage
